Market Day Wednesday, April 1st
April 1, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Market Day Wednesday, April 1st from 10am – 5pm.
Celebrate April Fools’ with us! On Rosy Tomorrows Heritage Farm, we are dedicated to our organically grown herb and spice collection. We take organic gardening seriously, but April Fools’ day is here and we also love a good joke!
Introducing our Spilanthes, commonly known as lemon drops. It’ll put a sparkle in your mouth that’s like tasting stars or tongue tingling pop rocks. The pretty leaves and flowers produce a natural analgesic, and in small amounts it’s the perfect addition to salads, ice cream, and even giving your cocktails an extra buzz. The flowers contain a zippy citrus flavor and leave your tongue feeling like you’ve just tasted Champagne. The funny thing about this flower is chewing the whole flower creates a numbing sensation and the best April Fools’ moments! But Spilanthes is a seriously important medicinal herb that is an immune system builder. Promising research into the use of Spilanthes suggests it has powerful antibacterial properties, with strong effect against E.coli, pseudomonas aeruginosa, salmonella, klebsiella pneumonae and staphylococcus albus, as well as inhibiting the growth of candida albicans. It’s also used for colds, periodontal disease or even as an alternative to BOTOX.
